Do you have any old photos of Ferryhill? We’d be more than happy to display them, with a credit on the website, along with any memories you may have of the town itself in days gone by.

Readers may be interested that Alan Young has an excellent web page detailing the history of Ferryhill Station, from it’s opening in 1835 to it’s eventual closure to passengers on 6th March 1967.

There are examples of timetables and and rail network maps, along with old tickets and pictures. Well worth a visit for those who are old enough to remember it.
